Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats

 Yields: 75 Dog Treats

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Dehydrate Time: 12-16 hours

Ingredients:

3 cups Canned Pumpkin (816 grams)

6 large Eggs

1 cup Natural Peanut Butter (255 grams)

6 cups Whole Wheat flour (900 grams)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

3. Using a hand or stand mixer, beat the pumpkin and peanut butter together until combined

4. Add the eggs and beat until combined

5. Add the whole wheat flour and mix until combined

6. Flour your surface with some extra whole wheat flour

7. Cut with your favorite size cookie cutter. My dog treat cutter is 3.5 inches long

8. Place dog treats on parchment-lined baking pan

9. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until well-baked but not burnt

10. Remove from the oven, and once they are cool enough to touch, place them in the dehydrator. I set my dehydrator to 145 degrees for 12-16 hours. Sometimes, if I make them too thick,k it takes longer, but I start checking them after 12 hours

11. You can store them in your refrigerator if you do not have a dehydrator. I have found that they only last about 7 days in the refrigerator. When I dehydrate them for 12-16 hours, or until they are completely dried out, they last for at least 2 months if they are stored in a tightly sealed container
