Ritz Coated Chicken Nuggets Recipe

Servings: 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized nuggets) or 6 Chicken Tenderloins (with the Tendons removed)
  • 1-2 sleeves Ritz crackers (crushed into fine crumbs)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Chicken:

    • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized nuggets.
    • Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Set aside.
  2. Prepare Coatings:

    • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
    • Crush the Ritz crackers into fine crumbs (using a food processor or placing the crackers in a resealable bag and crushing with a rolling pin). Transfer the crumbs to another shallow dish.
  3. Coating Process:

    • Dip the chicken pieces into the egg and milk mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
    • Finally, coat the chicken in the Ritz cracker crumbs, pressing lightly to ensure the crumbs stick well.
  4. Fry the Nuggets:

    • In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat.
    • Once the oil is hot (around 350°F or when a small piece of bread sizzles and turns golden within 30 seconds), carefully add the coated chicken nuggets in batches. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
    • Fry the nuggets for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
    • Remove the nuggets from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  5. Serve:

    • Serve the crispy Ritz-coated chicken nuggets with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or barbecue sauce. Enjoy!

This recipe is simple yet packed with flavor, and the Ritz cracker coating adds a buttery, crispy finish that’s hard to resist!
