Sauteed Mushrooms
YIELDS: 1 lb white or portabella mushrooms
COOK TIME: 15-20 Minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 lb Mushrooms, I like baby bellas
2 -3 tablespoons of your favorite oil, (I like Olive Oil)
1 teaspoon low sodium Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons butter, I use unsalted but you can use either
Kosher Salt to Taste
Montreal Steak Seasoning (McCormicks) to taste
DIRECTIONS
Clean and slice your mushrooms.
Turn your burner on medium-high heat.
Drizzle your oil in the pan when it is hot.
Toss in your mushrooms and stir to coat.
Water will be released from the mushrooms so continue to cook and stir them.
They will start turning a golden color (after about 8 -10 minutes) and most of the water, if any, will be cooked out.
Add the butter and then add the soy sauce, Stir to coat.
Sprinkle with Montreal Steak Seasoning and stir to coat.
Add any additional kosher salt or seasoning that you prefer.
Once the mushrooms are done to the tenderness you prefer, remove them from the pan.
Serve with your favorite burger, on top of chicken, steak or pork chops or have them as a side dish.
